See more of Seoul with special transit tour packages at Incheon Int'l Airport

Travelers dreading long and boring layovers have instantly changed their minds upon landing in South Korea’s Incheon International Airport (ICN). Rated among the world’s best airports for 11 consecutive years by Airports Council International, ICN is renowned for its transfer services and amenities.
Over 44 million passengers fly through this hub of national carrier Asiana Airlines (OZ) every year.

Now, ICN and OZ in partnership with Hana Tour, have unveiled premium transit tour packages for passengers to explore Seoul during their stay. The “Stop & Joy in Seoul” premium transit tour includes roundtrip airport limousine bus services, overnight stay at Tmark Hotel, and a free pass to the airport’s Matina Lounge all for only $50 per person.

Travellers availing of the package also get a KRW10,000 gift card for SM airport duty free shopping, 10% off coupon for meals at CJ Foodville at ICN and an additional 1,000 mileage bonus for Asiana Club members.

Eight different tour options at minimal cost can be included. The Gyeongbokgung Palace morning tour offers a peek at Korean history while the Namsan Tower afternoon tour brings an amazing view of Seoul from the tower. A one-day pass on the double-decker bus that circulates in the traditional markets of Seoul, with designated pick up and drop off points every 30 minutes to one hour is also available.

Travelers can choose to watch the world-famous Nanta show, a non-verbal performance of drumming beats and rhythms with pots, pans and plates. International audiences have been delighted by this unique Korean presentation since 2014.

Other available tickets are to the COEX Aquarium, a mega ocean theme park; the Trick Eye Museum, where pictures for 3D optical illusions can be taken; Dragon Hill Spa, for rest and relaxation, and Lotte World, a huge indoor adventure and theme park.

For passengers with shorter layover, free ICN transit tour options are scheduled for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours and all the way to 5 hours. Foreign passengers with visas to the US, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand who are transiting through Korea can visit visa-free. But they must possess a confirmed onward departure ticket within 30 days after entering the country.

Opportunities to learn more about Korea are offered even within the airport. Aside from transit tours, visitors can take time at the Korea Cultural Experience Center for traditional arts and crafts. ICN hosts 7,400 cultural events annually across the terminal including classical concerts, K-pop music events and even historical performances like the Walk of the Korean Royal Family.

ICN also offers free shower rooms, free Wi-Fi, rest areas, a transit hotel and lounge and over 250 retail shops of top brands, food and beverage stores and service outlets.

Travelling from one destination to another via Asiana Airlines in Incheon International Airport has proven to be a comfortable journey. In 2015, ICN was rated second among the 100 world’s best airports in the World Airport Awards.

“From Manila, Clark and Cebu, Asiana Airlines flies to cities in 24 countries. We offer flights to 6 cities n the US and 5 cities in Europe. This makes Asiana one of the most competitive providers of convenient routing services for travelers in the Philippines to the US,” said Yong Han Cho, Asiana Airlines Regional Manager.

Through check service for Asiana passengers also ensure that baggage is checked in to reach one’s final destination if the connecting flight is within 24 hours. There is no need to change terminals or re-check bags.

The multi-awarded Asiana, consistently rated five-stars by Skytrax, operates daily from ICN. US destinations include LA, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Chicago and Honolulu. In Europe, the airline flies to Rome, Paris, Istanbul, Frankfurt and London.
