World Grand Prix 2026 'Breaks-Off' at Kai Tak Arena
Organized by World Snooker Tour (WST) and F-Sports Promotions Limited and supported by the Billiard Sports Council of Hong Kong China Limited, the "World Grand Prix 2026" is set be held in Hong Kong for the second occasion, taking place from 3 to 8 February, 2026 at Kai Tak Arena, Kai Tak Sports Park. The world’s top 32 snooker players will be competing for the championship and world rankings.
Miss Rosanna Law, JP, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Simon Brownell, CEO, World Snooker Tour; Ms. Feng Huanhuan, CEO, F-Sports Promotions Limited; Mr. Vincent Law, Chairman of the Billiard Sports Council of Hong Kong China; Mr. Ricky Tsang, Chairman and CEO, Goldlion, along with Ronnie O’Sullivan and Si Jiahui, participated in the tournament opening ceremony to mark the beginning of six days of intense competition.

In the highlight matches of the first day's round of 32, Xiao Guodong defeat Kyren Wilson 5-2, Mark Selby beat Aaron Hill 5-0, Elliot Slessor eliminate Stuart Bingham 5-2, and Zhou Yuelong overcome Stephen Maguire 5-2. Tomorrow First-Round Battles include Ronnie O'Sullivan battles Joe O'Connor; and Zhao Xintong goes up against John Higgins.
Hendry and Fu to Stage Exhibition Match; Ticket Holders for Afternoon Sessions During First Four Days Can Redeem Tickets
This year exhibition matches will be held on 7 and 8 February. On Saturday, "The King of the Crucible" Stephen Hendry will face-off against legendary Hong Kong star Marco Fu. Sunday will feature a new team exhibition match, with Hendry and Fu each teaming up with young players from the Hong Kong Billiard Sports Academy to compete. Fans who have purchased "Six-Day Pass" or tickets for the afternoon sessions on the first four days of the main event can redeem exhibition match tickets at the Hong Kong Billiard Sports Academy, Kai Tak Mall 3, from 3 to 6 February, between 12:00 noon and 8:00 PM. Some exhibition match tickets will also be distributed free of charge to local communities, including schools, youth groups, and charitable organizations, allowing the whole city to experience the excitement of this annual snooker spectacle.
Public ticket sales are now available through HK Ticketing and Damai, with prices ranging from HK$80 to HK$2,580.
The F-Sports Club will be held on-site, featuring multiple sports experiences, tournament merchandise, and sponsor booths. Fans will also have the opportunity to interact with top players. Rising 19-year-old star Stan Moody will be present at the venue to engage with fans. Admission is free and open to the public.
The "World Grand Prix 2026" is awarded “M” Mark status by the Major Sports Events Committee, symbolising an intense, spectacular and signature event in the territory’s sports calendar, helping enhance the image of Hong Kong as an international sports event capital.
The World Grand Prix has been held in the UK since 2015 until March last year, when the competition was relocated to Hong Kong. As one of the premier events on the World Snooker Tour, it features the season’s top 32 ranked players, making it one of the pinnacle events in world professional snooker. The total prize money is £700,000, with the winner's prize set at £180,000.
