In celebration of Pride Month 2026, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) lights up the facade of the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez (TIG) at the CCP Complex with vibrant rainbow colors and fingerprint-inspired projections from June 26 to July 4, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
An initiative of the CCP Production and Exhibition Department through its Production Design and Technical Services Division, the facade lighting honors the unique identities, stories, and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The installation, inspired by the rings that record the well-lived life of a tree, is a promise to create a world where expressing the truest self is accepted, celebrated, and shaped by dignity and freedom. A reflection of the CCP’s commitment to fostering safe spaces, it demonstrates art’s power to honor personal and collective struggles that inspire resilience and hope.
The CCP’s facade lighting of the TIG was conceptualized by Jericho A. Pagana and executed by Shantie De Roca. Together with the CCP Theater Crew and the heartfelt efforts of the Production Design and Technical Services Division, it captures authenticity as the core of every identity.
Celebrate Pride Month with meaningful and Instagrammable photos at the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez facade, and stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community through the liberating power of artistic expression.
