Cody Wong said, "This is our third time competing in the doubles at this tournament, and I'm thrilled that we finally secured a victory. Especially winning in front of my family and friends, it means a great deal to me."

A victorious Leylah’s secret sauce today was “Not thinking too much”, she explained. “I have a tendency to over-think things, but today my coach said just relax and play. The crowds are wonderful. There was one little boy in the corner cheering me so much, he was leading the crowd in chants each break. I found it hard not to just smile. It is so much fun to be here, and it was great to see Eva with such enthusiastic support too.”

“It was a very tough match,” explained the 18-year Tour veteran. “I enjoy playing Ajla and she is one of my best friends so it’s not easy. But I love playing tennis, I love training and the joy I get out of the game is the reason I’m still playing. It’s my first time in Hong Kong which has always been on my wish list. It’s a wonderful tournament, it has to be one of the best 250 events on the tour and I love the Centre court here, it has a very intimate and cozy feeling. So far the whole Hong Kong experience has been 10 out of 10!”
